For nearly four decades, Rick A. King has helped individuals and families navigate some of life’s most important financial decisions. As a loan originator with Movement Mortgage, King combines extensive experience in lending, banking, customer service and technology with a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their homeownership and wealth-building goals.
Known for his consultative approach, King believes every successful mortgage begins with understanding the person behind the application. He takes the time to listen carefully to each client’s goals, concerns and long-term plans, allowing him to craft financing solutions that align with their unique circumstances. His commitment to communication, transparency and education helps clients feel informed and confident throughout every stage of the process.
King’s career path has been anything but traditional. He began in financial services with a local credit union while still in high school, later holding roles with Prudential Insurance and Cargill Inc. He then transitioned into the technology sector, where he led major software implementation projects for large financial institutions. In 1997, he relocated to the Pacific Northwest to oversee complex technology initiatives before ultimately discovering his true passion in residential lending. Looking back, King considers the move to mortgage banking to be one of the best decisions of his professional career.
Today, he serves as a trusted advisor helping homebuyers, homeowners and real estate investors make informed decisions while building long-term financial success. Whether assisting first-time buyers, move-up purchasers or clients seeking to expand their real estate portfolios, he approaches every transaction with integrity, expertise and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
King is passionate about supporting charitable organizations that mirror Movement Mortgage’s philosophy. He believes that strong relationships, service and making a positive impact are just as important in life as they are in business.
