For Jessica Angel Talton, homeownership is personal. A South Seattle native, Talton began her career in banking before moving into mortgage lending, where she saw an opportunity to combine financial education with advocacy for communities that have historically faced barriers to homeownership.
With 13 years in the mortgage industry, Talton serves borrowers throughout Washington, with a strong presence in Seattle, South Seattle, Kent, Renton, Federal Way and Tacoma. She works with first-time and move-up buyers, veterans, physicians, investors, self-employed borrowers and luxury buyers, as well as clients who need a roadmap before they are mortgage-ready. Her lending experience includes an array of loan programs paired with creative seller concessions and rate buydown strategies designed to stretch borrower purchasing power. She is particularly well-versed in Washington State Housing Finance Commission programs and the Covenant Homeownership Program.
Talton’s approach is strategic and persistent. Talton looks at the full financial picture and works to identify a path forward, even when a borrower has previously been declined. She believes the answer is sometimes “not yet,” and that a good lender should explain why and provide a plan.
Leading Team Talton, she stays active in homebuyer education, community events and industry training. She serves on the board of Western Washington Realtist and has helped more than 250 families access more than $40 million in down payment assistance using the Covenant program. She has been recognized by Movement Mortgage as a Top 10 Loan Officer nationwide and earned their prestigious Change Maker status. Talton was also named a Scotsman Guide Top 1% Mortgage Originator, as well as the top producer for Washington State Housing Finance Commission programs in 2026.
Outside of lending, Talton enjoys family life with her husband, real estate broker Steven White, and their three children. She also enjoys music, cooking, entertaining and creating community ties.
