For Jennifer McGeary, lending began in the shipping department of an escrow company. She worked her way through closing documents, loan funding and processing before becoming a loan officer assistant and starting her own lending career. Today, with 26 years in the business, she remains current on lending guidelines and programs despite changing markets.

Although McGeary primarily serves Seattle, the Eastside and Snohomish, King and Pierce counties, she is fully licensed in Oregon as well. She works with first-time and repeat buyers, move-up families and downsizing empty nesters. Her business includes a significant amount of jumbo lending as well as lending for lower-priced homes, and she regularly employs bridge and cross-collateral loans for buyers who need to purchase before selling.

Education is central to McGeary’s approach. She meets with buyers throughout the process, including an introductory meeting to discuss their goals and budget, a meeting to review preapproval options and another meeting once a property is found. As a certified trainer, she teaches financing fundamentals to new agents through the Windermere Summit program.

McGeary’s business is built on referrals from Realtors, past clients, advisors and community connections. Her dedicated team assistant of more than 26 years aids in this work, skillfully managing operations behind the scenes. Prioritizing communication and attention to detail, she is known for being approachable, trustworthy and honest. One nervous buyer who relied on her for frequent calls, texts and Zoom meetings dubbed her their “mortgage therapist.”

A longtime Seattle-area volunteer, McGeary supports Food Lifeline, local food banks and Empower Youth Network, an organization supporting youth. The organization’s most recent event was Give a Night, Save a Life, which supported suicide and substance abuse prevention. She and her husband are longtime Seahawks season ticket holders.
