Phillip Belenky, Broker, Board Member
Kurt Genkin Broker, Board Member
Early exposure to real estate showings with a family friend sparked Phillip Belenky’s initial interest in architecture and dealmaking. After graduating from the University of Washington (UW), he immediately entered the housing market, launching a career that now spans 22 years. Kurt Genkin took a different path, drawing on international travel and focusing on design before earning his degree in real estate, architecture and philosophy at UW and entering the industry. With a combined nearly three decades of experience, the two now lead the PBNW Homes Team at Ensemble, serving King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
Belenky and Genkin share more than a business partnership. Belenky is the son of immigrant parents, and Genkin, born in Ukraine, came to the United States as a teenager. Ultimately, their similar upbringings drive the perseverance they bring to their work.
The team’s high-touch process is defined by tailored planning, deep market knowledge and structural design instincts. Belenky and Genkin establish clear goals through comprehensive initial consultations, mapping out strategic roadmaps that keep clients well positioned ahead of potential market obstacles. Referrals, repeat clients, word of mouth and personal networks drive most of their business.
Belenky and Genkin serve as board members at Ensemble, weighing in on brokerage strategy as the company grows. “Our philosophy is that every client deserves the highest level of service with a dedicated, tailored plan,” they share. “We combine deep market knowledge, design instincts and thoughtful preparation to help clients make smart decisions.”
Outside of work, Belenky and Genkin both enjoy biking, exploring the Pacific Northwest and playing pickleball and tennis. Genkin enjoys building aquariums, and Whidbey Island is Belenky’s favorite retreat with his family.
