Stephanie and Matt Stanford’s success flipping their first home, a fixer upper in Phinney Ridge, inspired them to help others realize their real estate dreams. The husband-and-wife team are brokers with Stanford Group, Compass, serving Greater Seattle and Eastside.

Trustworthy, hardworking and efficient, they recently had the best year of their eight years in business together in terms of growth, transactions and customer satisfaction. Stephanie has been a broker for 21 years and Matt, nine. Prior to real estate, Matt was a general contractor. He leans on those skills while advising clients on all things house related, from inspections to sewer scopes and budgeting for remodeling. Together they have built a customer referral base that regularly recommends them to friends, family and co-workers.

“Our style is human and approachable,” Matt says. “We communicate every detail with care, assuring buyers and sellers get what they need during what is typically a period of significant life changes.”

They lean into technology to give each client a customized experience and stay top of mind in the marketplace through social media, providing helpful content about the ever-changing housing landscape. “The market dictates value,” Stephanie says. “Conveying that with data and real time knowledge sets our clients up for success.”

They approach difficulties during the transaction process as challenges to work through rather than roadblocks.

“We tend to eat, sleep and dream this job together,” Matt says. “It’s a connection that clients say works well for them.”

The couple’s recent fundraiser for Forever Dog Home Rescue raised upwards of $3,000 for the charity.
