With more than 35 years in the real estate industry, Annette Schmidt has built her career around helping people navigate the most important financial decisions of their lives. She began her career in escrow, spending 10 years developing a strong foundation in attention to detail, communication and the complexities of real estate transactions. She transitioned into mortgage lending 25 years ago, discovering her passion for helping clients find the right financing strategy to achieve homeownership. Although she is based in Western Washington, she is licensed in multiple states, allowing her to work with clients beyond her local market.
Since there are many loan programs, strategies and options available, Schmidt’s goal is to help clients understand which program best serves their goals. She has a talent for untangling the many options and decisions that come with the mortgage process and making them easy to understand. She listens, educates, problem-solves and advocates for her clients, ensuring they always have someone in their corner.
As a branch manager, Schmidt brings more than 25 years of mortgage experience to her team, using her knowledge to train, mentor and develop the professionals around her. Her team structure provides clients and referral partners with responsive, consistent support throughout the lending process.
Most of Schmidt’s business comes from past clients, which she considers to be a great compliment. She believes that relationships should continue long after closing and makes an effort to reconnect with past clients. Most recently, she personally delivered flower bowls to 250 clients, creating an opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the homes and lives they have built.
For Schmidt, success is not simply closing a loan; it is helping people achieve meaningful goals and building relationships that last well beyond the closing table.
