For real estate advisor Amy McFarland, founder and principal broker of McFarland Collective at Compass in Bainbridge Island, real estate has always been deeply personal. Her greatest strength is her genuine care for clients. She understands what matters most to them, protects their interests and partners with them to achieve the best possible outcome.
That care shapes how McFarland approaches every relationship and transaction. She listens closely, communicates candidly, anticipates challenges and isn’t afraid to have difficult conversations. “My job isn’t simply to open doors or put a sign in a yard,” she explains. “It’s to understand my clients’ goals, anticipate challenges, develop a thoughtful strategy and advocate for them every step of the way.”
A native of the Pacific Northwest and a resident of Bainbridge Island, McFarland has always loved homes, design, marketing and connecting people. “Real estate gives me the opportunity to use those skills while helping people navigate some of the biggest transitions and financial decisions of their lives,” she shares.
For many clients, that relationship extends well beyond the transaction. McFarland has become something of an “island life concierge” — the person clients call for everything from trusted contractors and local restaurants to schools and community connections.
With over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing for luxury hotels and hospitality, McFarland has earned numerous industry accolades. From 2023 to 2025, RealTrends ranked her among the top 1.5% of real estate professionals nationwide by sales volume. From 2022 to 2025, she ranked among the Top 5 Real Estate Agents and Real Estate Teams on Bainbridge Island, and in 2025, she was recognized in Seattle Agent’s Who’s Who in Puget Sound Real Estate.
Even so, McFarland is most proud of growing a successful business while remaining present for her family.
