Julie Johnson entered mortgage lending over 27 years ago as a single mother of three. Her goal was simple — to build a stable career while remaining present for her family. That early drive to support a household quickly evolved into a lifelong business philosophy centered on identifying what families need and delivering results. Over nearly three decades, she has mastered the art of working with self-employed borrowers, physicians, veterans and clients needing strategic financing solutions.

Johnson now serves as divisional vice president at CrossCountry Mortgage, leading the Johnson Team out of Seattle across King County, the Eastside and greater Puget Sound. Her team provides a national platform that follows clients wherever they move. Every client relationship begins with an in-person or Zoom consultation, which is followed by regular Tuesday updates. Fully pre-underwritten files allow the team to clear transactions efficiently, occasionally closing purchase loans in as few as 10 business days.

Scotsman Guide has named Johnson a Top 100 Originator and Top Woman Originator. She stepped into a director role with The CORE Training, launching an online coaching community for loan officers and agents. In addition, she started her own podcast, “Winning the Home Game,” hosts The CORE’s “Women’s Locker Room” podcast and helped bring CrossCountry Mortgage into a partnership with the Seattle Mariners.

For Johnson, working alongside her son and daughter remains a career highlight. Beyond loan originations, her team actively supports Babies of Homelessness and organizes the annual ThanksGiveMas fundraiser, which is now in its 10th year. Outside of work, she spends time strength training, rucking, practicing yoga and enjoying her children and grandchildren.
