Charles Kalonji has a reputation for making deals go smoothly and close on time.
Kalonji, a sales manager with Rate, perfected his customer service skills and ability to accommodate multiple clients at once while working as a rental agent for a rental car company at the airport. He became interested in the mortgage industry after purchasing his first home. Following graduation from the University of Washington, he landed a loan officer job and 22 years later, continues to serve borrowers in the Greater Puget Sound area.
Recipient of a Five Star Professional Award for the past three consecutive years, he specializes in first-time homebuyer programs, self-employed borrowers and people buying their second or third homes. His educational videos on social media, where he discusses different topics and answers questions about the homebuying process keep him top of mind with past and potential clients.
Persistent, caring and honest, he never gives up and always gets the job done. He understands that buying a home can be a confusing and overwhelming process sometimes. To put clients at ease, he guides them through the process step by step, making sure they understand the information that’s needed and why it’s needed to get to closing. He also takes the time to explore creative loan options to help clients achieve the best outcomes.

Passionate about music, he plays guitar in a couple of bands and serves on the board of the First Five Years & Beyond, a non-profit organization dedicated to early childhood development.
