Justin Dellario’s EMT experience, running advanced life support and critical care ambulance calls across Western Washington, prepared him for selling mortgages.
“I get to regularly work on my conflict de-escalation and emotional management skills given how stressful finances can feel for people,” says Dellario, vice president of Mortgage Lending, The Dellario Team, Rate. “I enjoy bringing a calming energy to the process.”
He always jokes that 20% of the job requires knowing how to navigate lending regulations and 80%, people. “Setting proper expectations and delivering on them is crucial,” he says.
Dellario is recipient of Seattle Agent Magazine’s “2025 Agent’s Choice Award” for Social Media Influencer of the Year – Lender. That same year, he earned a Certified Divorce Lending Professional designation from the Divorce Lending Association to help people through tough situations.
Dellario specializes in FHA, VA, Jumbo, Portfolio, HELOCs, refinancing, non-QM and down payment assistance programs for borrowers in Washington, as well as Arizona, Florida, Nevada, Oregon and South Carolina.
He joined The Dellario Team, his family’s long-time business, eight years ago, spending about four years in operations before moving to sales. At this point in his career, he has guided upwards of 1,000 transactions and learned how to walk clients through any possible scenario. He uses Letsplan™, proprietary software developed by the team, to explain the homebuying process, translate qualifying information in an easy-to-understand way, and showcase lending scenarios in real time. “It’s a great way to get people engaged in the process, learn about their goals, and build trust before they fill out an application.”
Passionate about storytelling, working out, riding motorcycles and cooking, he will serve as president of his local Business Networking International chapter beginning in October.
