John L. Scott broker Tony Hettler acquired the brokerage’s office in Federal Way.

Hettler has been with John L. Scott since 1989 and opened his first office in Des Moines, Washington, in 2006. This location ultimately merged with his second office in Burien in 2012. Before he joined the brokerage, Hettler worked as an executive vice president in sales and marketing at Spider Staging Corporation.

A carryover from his days in management, Hettler says he aims to bring a “corporate-light” culture to the office, creating a streamlined approach that isn’t overly bureaucratic.

Hettler brings his son and fellow John L. Scott broker, Matt Hettler, to Federal Way, where he’ll be involved in office operations.
