Soon after starting her career in real estate, Leanne Ogata Yanda decided to focus on mortgages and is currently a vice president of mortgage lending at Guaranteed Rate Affinity. “I learned that I had a knack for helping people find the best financing alternative in a tough market,” she shares. “I’ve been through many economic cycles, so I can better understand the challenges we are facing today.”

In the industry for over 30 years, Yanda specializes in residential mortgages, including purchases, refinances and VA, FHA and USDA loans. She learns as much as she can about her clients so she can offer them loans that best fit their needs. “I want to understand the whole person beyond the real estate transaction,” she points out. “For instance, I talk with new clients about where they are from; I ask them to describe their family and work situation so I can appreciate their emotional relationship with money.”

Known for her ability to act fast and efficiently while still being very caring, Yanda has a deep knowledge of the mortgage business. Thanks to her professionalism and great communication skills, she receives many referrals from agents and past clients alike. “My biggest professional accomplishment is when I am able to help my clients improve their credit scores and organize their finances so they can purchase their dream homes,” she relates.

Yanda’s passion for helping others extends beyond work. She also serves on the board of directors for Northwest Hope and Healing, a charity providing immediate financial assistance to breast and gynecological cancer patients.
