Seattle King County REALTORS® has named Taylor Shanaman as director of government and public affairs, the agency announced this week.
Shanaman has a decade of experience in similar public affairs-related roles, most recently with Oregon REALTORS®.
“Taylor’s experience in the REALTOR® association and her knowledge of housing policy in the Northwest are a boon to our organization,” SKCR CEO Russ Hokanson said in a news release. “She understands our culture of advocacy and works well in collaboration with our members.”
At SKCR, Shanaman will focus on improved housing supply, tax issues, real estate signage and candidate endorsements, among other tasks.
Shanaman grew up in Tacoma and is a 2012 graduate of Washington State University with a degree in political science. She previously worked at Washington REALTORS® and as government affairs director for the Tacoma-Pierce County Association of REALTORS®.
