With a background spanning sales, banking and customer service, Smith discovered her true passion in mortgage lending. “To be a small part of something so big in a client’s life fills my heart,” she explains. An award-winning mortgage loan advisor with Rate in the Greater Seattle area, she is among the company’s top 1% of originators in the U.S. and has maintained President’s Club status for the past four years.
Smith brings transparency, expert communication and a personal touch to every transaction, and her relationships with clients go beyond the closing table. “They aren’t just a closed loan,” she explains. “We become friends as well.”
Before clients begin their home search, Smith provides a step-by-step guide to make the mortgage process easy to understand. Available around the clock to answer questions, address concerns and provide guidance, she gives clients as much information as possible upfront — including loan summaries for each property before showings — while keeping them informed throughout the lending process.
Smith connects with new clients through the homebuyer classes she teaches, where she educates community members about the mortgage process. She works with Realtors, past clients and her social media network to build lasting relationships and reach prospective homebuyers. A VA loan expert, she is passionate about helping veterans and active-duty service members understand and maximize VA financing benefits.
Outside of work, Smith gives back to her community by volunteering with Raising Girls, a nonprofit providing hygiene bags to local students, as well as the YMCA and Boys & Girls Clubs. She enjoys traveling, spending summers outdoors, baking, interior decorating and fashion.
