Trumark Homes acquired the 18-acre Sandstone Ridge development in Poulsbo, with plans to build 87 single-family homes.

Developers initially submitted plans to develop vacant land into a new-home community to the Poulsbo Planning Commission in May 2025. Trumark’s acquisition of the developed land marks a Washington expansion for the builder, which acquired local homebuilder JK Monarch this March.

“The vision since day one was for Trumark Homes to be a top 5 homebuilder in the Pacific Northwest, and the announcement of Sandstone Ridge is an important step towards that goal,” Washington Division President Corey Watson said in a press release. “With enhanced capital and operational resources behind us, we can scale up quickly and pursue growth opportunities.”

Trumark’s floor plans for Sandstone Ridge range from 2,542 to 3,087 square feet, with three to five bedrooms, 2.5 to 2.5 bathrooms and two-car garages. A grand opening is slated for next spring.

In addition to its plans for Sandstone Ridge, Trumark will rebrand 10 existing JK Monarch communities to the Trumark Homes brand:

  • Boise Creek Cove and Rosenbauer Lane in Enumclaw
  • Firdrona Crest in Gig Harbor
  • Glacier Pointe at Tehaleh
  • Interlaaken Estates in Lakewood
  • Liberty Park in Bonney Lake
  • Mountain Glen, Thornwell and Three Cedars in Puyallup
  • Trails End at Brookdale in Tacoma

“The greater Seattle market has been a target for expansion since we entered the market in Q1, and with the experience of this team and the investment of financial and operational resources we are beginning to execute on our strategic land plan,” said COO Steve Kalmbach. “We are actively engaged in conversations with landowners across the region and see a clear runway for sustained growth.”
