Coldwell Banker Bain announces new regional leadership team

by Emily Marek

Three principal brokers with Coldwell Banker Bain will now serve on the company’s regional leadership team. Gregg Lane will handle brokerage services, David Sly will handle broker development and Jamie Girvin will handle strategic growth.

“This innovative leadership model is specifically designed to cater to the evolving needs of today’s real estate brokers, adapt to the increasingly complicated landscape in which they operate and assist them in providing exceptional leadership to their clients,” Robert Burns, president of Coldwell Banker Bain, said in a press release. “Under this new leadership team, we are significantly expanding the pool of resources available to our brokers and empowering them to be as effective as possible.”

Lane, formerly the managing principal broker for the Portland West and Lake Oswego offices since 2021, will now supervise transaction management and forms and serve as a legal liaison. He’ll also oversee issues related to consumers, licensing, the MLS and state laws and regulations. A dual-license broker in Oregon and Washington, Lane has received multiple achievement awards from Coldwell Banker Bain including Rookie of the Year, International President’s Elite, International President’s Circle, International Diamond Society and International Sterling Society.

Sly, former manager of the Lake Oswego office with Coldwell Banker Seal, will now oversee broker development including coaching, training, business planning and marketing. A member of several local and statewide real estate associations, he was named the Portland Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® Managing Broker of the Year in 2012 and helped the company rebrand into Coldwell Banker Bain in 2017.

Girvin, who previously served as principal managing broker for the Coldwell Banker Bain’s Southwest Washington offices, first joined the company 14 years ago and was ranked among the company’s top 25 agents in 2022 and 2023. In her new role managing strategic growth, she’ll oversee onboarding, 2-2-1 broker referral rewards, talent acquisition and increasing market share. In addition to her work with Coldwell Banker, she’s currently serving a two-year term as a member of the diversity, equity and inclusion committee for the Washington Association of REALTORS®.
