More density coming to Bothell

by Liz Economou

It wasn’t all that long ago when the Seattle suburb of Bothell was considered humdrum.

Fast forward to present day and the city with a population of 45,000 is booming and attracting housing developers in droves, including Vulcan Real Estate and other big names. Credit is due in large part to the dozens of biomedical companies located there.

Most recently, Texas-based Trammell Crow Residential (TCR) purchased one of the largest development sites in Bothell history, with a winning bid of $12.75 million, according to The Registry.

Soon TCR will begin construction of a mixed-use facility with 369 market-rate apartment units and 9,800 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The 2.6-acre property is located at the intersection of state Route 522 and Bothell Way Northeast.
