Ken Williams, Real Estate Broker

John L. Scott Real Estate

Back in 1993, Ken Williams saw a woman on TV who owned a nice home, a nice car and had a beautiful family — all made possible by selling real estate. “I said, ‘I want that,’” he recalls thinking. “Now I have that and more.”

Williams, a real estate broker with John L. Scott Real Estate in Renton, has been a recipient of the coveted John L. Scott Chairman Elite Club membership, ranking in the top 1.5% of brokers nationwide for the past two years. Last year, his accomplishments were bittersweet because he lost his father, his biggest role model, the person who taught him to go the extra mile for himself and his clients.

“When I was a teenager, he would wake me up at 4 a.m. so he could go to work and drop me off at the bus stop,” he remembers. “I hated it, but now I get up at 4 a.m. every day to start my day.”

Williams assists clients from first-time to luxury homebuyers and sellers, in King, Pierce and Snohomish County. He also specializes in the sales and marketing of adult-family homes, a niche that separates him from the competition.

Before real estate, a career he has been in for more than 29 years, Williams was parking cars for Diamond Parking — a job he maintained while attending Bellevue Community College and Seattle Central College. “I just knew I wanted a career, not just a job,” he says. Seeing that successful real estate broker on TV helped him with a vision of a better life, the ability to see himself achieving his goals in the future.

“I love what I do,” he says. “I am a passionate and enthusiastic person who wants the best for his clients because I am living the American dream, and they can too.”

Married for 33 years, he and his wife, Lynett, have two adult children, Jared and Tyson, and a lovely granddaughter, Solana.
