Bryan Brzeg, Mortgage Advisor

Wallick & Volk

An internship 15 years ago in marketing, assisting agents at a top brokerage with their listings and television appearances on the show “Selling New York,” made Bryan Brzeg realize he wanted to work in real estate.

“Being in a position that was boundless and having the freedom to work without a ceiling was inspiring to me,” says Brzeg, a mortgage advisor with Wallick & Volk, the oldest privately held mortgage bank in the country. His territory is all of Washington State, but most of his deals take place in the Puget Sound region surrounding Seattle and Eastside.

When Brzeg first moved to Seattle more than a decade ago, he worked for Microsoft and later, owned his own business. Both his tech and entrepreneurial backgrounds gave him the drive, problem-solving skills and tech savvy necessary for a successful career in lending. He has a reputation for getting deals done and facilitating smooth transactions.

His first full year in lending, he made President’s Club. Since then, multiple top producer awards have followed. At a time when the market has shrunk, his business continues to experience month-over-month growth. Brzeg has saved a lot of deals and helped agents grow their businesses because he’s able to lend on complex income and complex properties with the ability to lend up to $30 million on a single-family residence. His other specialty is buying clients’ houses in cash, either to win in a multiple-offer situation or so they can buy now and sell later. “I’ve had to buy million-dollar homes with two-hour notice on a Sunday night,” he says. What’s more, working for a privately held brokerage gives him the ability to provide private client concierge-style service and be available to advise clients on real estate transactions anytime, day or night.

Brzeg is raising a family on the Eastside. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling to Hong Kong, Japan and Vancouver with his wife, daughter and micro-poodle Truffle.
