Initially aiming for a career as an artist, Titus Davis shifted gears when the “starving artist” reality hit and he joined his father’s mortgage company. With a degree in photography and digital imaging, his artistic aspirations have taken a back seat. “My background in photography still plays an important role in my work, especially when I create social media content and educational videos,” he explains. “My videos are always a hit because they offer my personalized insights that my clients can revisit throughout the process.”
A community lending officer with Washington Trust Bank, Davis has been helping first-time homebuyers navigate the complexities of homeownership for the past 26 years. Encountering a wide range of market conditions throughout his career, he has the experience and knowledge to effectively guide clients through the ever-changing real estate landscapes. He employs the strong leadership of his processing team to best understand his clients’ long-term goals in order to craft informed mortgage plans tailored to their individual needs. Known for his laid-back and educational approach, he is frequently praised for his ability to break down complex information in an entertaining, yet informative, way.
Davis is an avid supporter of organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Western Washington Realtist, Young Realist Division, African American Leadership Forum and United Housing Resource. He also volunteers with the nonprofit Raising Girls, a cause close to his heart that works to end hygiene insecurity for local youth. “I consider my role in lending as an opportunity to give back to my community by sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over the last two-and-a-half decades,” he shares. “I consider that to be one of the greatest accomplishments of my career.”
In his free time, Davis hopes to return to his artistic roots in photography, balancing his successful lending career with his creative passions.
