Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty appoints Sofia Padilla VP of new developments amid launch of Gwo Piña Buchanan Team

by Emily Marek

Dehlan Gwo will step away from his role as vice president of new developments for Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty to launch the Gwo Piña Buchanan Team with Rachel Buchanan and Yael Piña.

Sofia Padilla, former executive director of project marketing, will replace Gwo as VP of new developments after just six months in her previous role.

“We are proud to support the strategic evolution of our brokers to align their passions with expanding opportunities in our industry with our shared brand,” President and CEO Dean Jones said in a press release.

Still a member of RSIR’s dedicated New Development division, Gwo will maintain his role as co-listing broker for the Infinity Shore Club Residences The Graystone Seattle, as well as sales director for Ranier Chalet in Enumclaw.

“The Gwo Piña Buchanan Team is the right platform for us, our evolving business segments and this market inflection point,” said Gwo. “Having identified Sofia and working alongside her many talents over the past two quarters, I’m thrilled she’ll be the steward of corporate leadership for the New Development division at RSIR.”

A 20-year veteran of the Seattle real estate industry, Padilla worked as managing director of sales and marketing for VDB Compass in Bellevue before joining RSIR. In her new role, she’ll help scale the brokerage’s New Development efforts, overseeing teams dedicated to land development, project strategy and builder services.

“I’m honored and excited to be contributing to this extraordinary brand and working alongside the entire team as we grow together,” said Padilla. “I congratulate Dehlan, Rachel and Yael on their collective evolution. The best is yet to come on our active accounts and new ones that come to the team.”
