Having called Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Ballard and West Seattle home, Jill Petersen has lived in the Seattle area all of her adult life. “I learned early on that each community in and around Seattle has a different vibe and feel, a different personality,” she shares. “Finding the community that meets the needs of a client can be as important as finding the right home.”

In real estate for almost 12 years, Petersen is a broker and founding member of Ensemble. “We are a significantly different business model for a brokerage in that it is a cooperative and the founding members and brokers operate as a collective,” she explains. “We are aligned in our ethics on how we approach our work and in our mission to offer the highest level of service available.”

Real Trends listed Petersen as one of America’s Best Real Estate Professionals in 2021 and 2022 for being in the top 1.5% of real estate professionals in the U.S. based on volume. A member of the National Association of Realtors and Seattle King County Realtors, she is known for her honesty, kindness and service-first mentality. Her first meeting with potential clients is to lay the groundwork for a partnership and discuss the importance of clear communication. “I tell clients that my job is not just to sell them a house but to help them find the right home, at the right time, with the terms that work for them that don’t put them or their finances at risk.”

Petersen has enjoyed supporting her daughter’s roller derby team, the Seattle Derby Brats, for the past seven years. Her proudest moments this year were  watching her daughter graduate from high school and begin her college journey.  “As a mother, I am incredibly proud of the person I helped launch out into the world,” she beams.
