High Street Residential will construct a multifamily housing community at 1200 116th Ave. NE in Bellevue, the developer confirmed after securing a cost-share agreement with MetLife Investment Management to help fund the project.
Upon completion, the 0.88-acre site will feature 214 units within walking distance of the Wilburton Light Rail Station, Overlake Hospital and a Whole Foods. Forty-three units will be income-restricted.
Planned community amenities include a courtyard, rooftop terrace, fitness center, coworking space, club, lounge, pet wash station and package storage.
HSR plans to pursue Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification from the United States Green Building Council.
“This project reflects our continued confidence in Bellevue as a dynamic and resilient multifamily market,” Alan Cantlin, principal with HSR, said in a press release. “Partnering with MetLife Investment Management allows us to thoughtfully advance the design of a transit-oriented community that prioritizes sustainability, accessibility and long-term value while meeting the evolving housing needs of the region.”
HSR will break ground in 2027, with first deliveries expected in the second half of 2029.
