Sterling Johnston Real Estate was founded in 2009. Co-founder and president Derek Bunyard shared his thoughts on the merger in a press release.

“John L. Scott is a company that genuinely cares about their brokers and places great value on building individual relationships,” Bunyard said. “Their leadership is dedicated to innovation and staying ahead in a constantly evolving market.”

Also joining John L. Scott’s Bellevue Main office are Office Leader Tucker Petrzelka, Broker Services Leader and Office Operations Manager Brooke Nortness, and Eirik Olsen, former designated broker for Sterling Johnston.

“We are thrilled to have Sterling Johnston brokers and leaders join John L. Scott,” said J. Lennox Scott, chairman and CEO of John L. Scott. “Their reputation for excellence is commendable. The combined expertise and cultural alignment of our teams expands and affirms the positive environment in which we provide an exceptional client experience.

Sterling Johnston will continue to operate SJA Property Management independently from John L. Scott, maintaining their management portfolio of over 900 properties in the Seattle area.
