Washington REALTORS® appoints new CEO

by Emily Marek

Washington REALTORS® appointed a new chief executive officer, Nathan Gorton, following the retirement of former CEO Steve Francks. Francks served the organization for 26 years.

Gorton assumed the role of CEO on Sept. 18. He brings 20 years of experience to his new position, 13 of which were spent as the government affairs director for Washington REALTORS®. In his previous role, Gorton’s responsibilities included overseeing the organization’s departmental budget and staff as well as its Political Action Committee. He also served as the executive officer of the Snohomish County Association of REALTORS®.

“The selection process for our new CEO was exhaustive, reflecting our commitment to finding the most qualified candidate,” Washington REALTORS® 2023 President Alisha Harrison said in a press release. “Nathan’s deep experience, proven leadership and innovative spirit make him the perfect choice to lead our organization forward.”

“I am beyond excited for this new opportunity to serve Realtors all across the state in a different capacity,” Gorton shared. “With the support of our incredible team, I am dedicated to steering our organization toward continued success and innovation for our members. There’s so much work to be done, and I can’t wait to get started!”
