New real estate agency Real Residential opens in Seattle

by Patrick Regan

New Seattle-based brokerage Real Residential launched Thursday, featuring seven leading brokers in the region.

The new agency will be led by managing partner Nick Glant and partners Brad Cahill, Albert Clark, Steve Curran, Shawn Filer, Jason Foss and Galya Kirstine, all formerly part of NWG Real Estate.

Glant founded NWG Real Estate in 2007, growing the company to more than $500 million in annual sales volume before the firm was acquired by Compass in 2018. The acquisition marked Compass’ entry into Washington at the time.

“Compass has been our home for nearly five years, during a fascinating time for Seattle’s real estate market,” Glant said in a news release. “My colleagues and I have the utmost respect for Compass’s place in the market and its vision for the broker experience. With that said, we are extremely excited to get back to our entrepreneurial values of elevating the real estate experience for our clients with Real Residential.”

Real Residential’s approach is to employ team members that have developed highly specialized expertise in each neighborhood or niche of the industry they serve, the company said.

“As the market faces more headwinds, we believe this to be the ideal time to invest further in the client experience by redefining the duty of care in our industry,” Filer said. “That extends beyond the contract. It is about providing honesty and top-level quality before, during and after a sale.”

Real Residential is the exclusive sales partner to MN Custom Homes, the largest luxury builder in Western Washington. The agency will have offices in Seattle and Bellevue.
