What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

Floral designer.

Where did you grow up?

Seattle.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

A nurse.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

Go for a hike in the woods. Or get a nice massage.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Oprah Winfrey, just because she seems fun and open to listening.

What is Seattle’s best-kept secret?

Ravenna Park, I loved this park growing up and still have fun walking there. Now, my park trails are bigger and Mt. Rainer tops my list of favorites.

What do you love most about the industry?

The people. My job is never boring.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

I have been selling for 30 years, and still I am available to help my clients whenever they need me. I make them my No. 1 priority.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

Having clients not listen to Zillow and the news! LOL. Your very best source for everything real estate is your real estate broker.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Be yourself and listen. Generating leads is not one size fits all; what works for one broker may not work for you. Don’t give up, try and evolve. Know your market! Be consistent!

What has been your greatest accomplishment?

Raising six children that have all become successful adults! And finding that perfect home for my clients!

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Yellowstone. Do I have to say more?

What’s your favorite meal in Seattle?

Beef bourguignon at El Goucho’s.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Seattle?

Smith Tower.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I got locked in a bonus room closet with a huge dog guarding the door, so I could not get out. And walking in on a guy taking a shower … yikes.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

That I have lived here my entire life! Hard to find these days, a native. And that I have six kids and six grandkids.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

Maui. I love the sun and water, and it doesn’t take too long to get there.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Please be patient! This job takes experience, be open to listening and get a mentor.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app?

OnX hunt! Yes, this app is great for finding property lines and information on properties, even when out of cell range.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?

Tom Ferry and Brian Buffini.
