Seattle is the No. 6 city in the United States to raise a family, according to a ranking from WalletHub.
The finance website analyzed 182 of the most-populated U.S. cities based on family fun, health and safety, education and childcare, affordability and socioeconomics, and ranked Seattle among the top cities in the country.
In addition to a low poverty rate and high median salary, Seattle offers more family-friendly attractions than any other major metro. The city’s ranking was also boosted by its high air and water quality and low crime rate.
That means that while it’s among the least affordable large cities to live in, families with children may be willing to pay the price.
