The most expensive home for sale in Washington

You can find ultra-luxury homes for sale in every corner of the United States. But how do we define what counts as an “expensive” sale when prices vary so widely from one place to the next?

Point2Homes analyzed listings in every U.S. state and Washington, D.C. to determine the most expensive home for sale in each. The real estate research site then ranked each state based upon its most expensive listing.

Of course, the priciest homes in certain states dwarf many others. The most expensive home for sale in all of Nebraska, ranked No. 51, costs $3,890,000 — only 1.5% of the cost of the most expensive listing in No. 1-ranked California, which is listed for $250 million.

Washington ranked at No. 6, with its most expensive home on the market currently listed for $75 million. Located at Halftide Farms in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, the 90-acre estate includes multiple guest cottages, a game house, tennis and pickleball courts, two pools, a putting green, four ponds, service quarters and a greenhouse.

The luxury property was listed by Team Foster at Compass.

You can find the full list at Point2Homes.
