Celeste Zarling Realtor

Century 21

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

I was a yoga and meditation teacher and taught mindfulness workshops at Google and Women’s Wellness Center for recovering cancer patients.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in the Bay Area of California and foothills of California, near Tahoe.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

I always wanted to be a ballerina. I was very thin and thought that would be the perfect job for me to be a ballet dancer.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

I walk 2 to 4 miles a day and listen to alpha wave music to put myself into Theta as a “walking meditation” with my mini Aussie Indy by my side.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

I would want to meet Einstein. He seemed to know a lot before his time, and I would want to ask him a lot of questions!

What is Seattle’s best-kept secret?

Seattle general area — I would say the walking trails all around the city that are hidden in neighborhoods. I also love food, and there is a lot of cuisine here besides seafood!

What do you love most about the industry?

That I get to meet new people and have a new challenge almost daily. It allows me to learn something new everyday whether through the people or the transaction.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

I offer high level service and expertise as a licensed stager and Realtor. My concept is that we sell with style.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

We have to be versatile and knowledgeable about the market more than ever.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

My advice is to become the parasocial leader in your distinct neighborhood and think of your neighborhood and community as an extension of “family.” Also, I believe in networking with other Realtors nationwide and local.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment is being able to be a soft-hearted person with the mental strength to endure life’s challenges! This has taken practice, time and experiences which have included death, divorce, financial losses and heartbreaks. I have accomplished to stay positive and know that every day is a new page that I get to write with grace.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Lately, I am watching the shows from American Dream TV, since I will be one of the hosts in the upcoming 2023 episodes. I am learning a lot about the wonderful cities and cultures we have across the nation. It makes me want to travel to more U.S. cities! I have a huge appetite to travel now!

What’s your favorite meal in Seattle?

I love this little Italian place in Woodinville, Pasta Nova. Two friends own it, and they cook from their hearts, everything is made from love. It is like you are eating in their kitchen, and they are cooking just for you! Warm, inviting, spectacular on the taste buds and a wonderful selection of wines! For Seattle, a similar restaurant and personal favorite is Serafina!

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Seattle?

This is so tough because I truly appreciate and am fascinated with the history of architecture. The most intriguing building to me and with visual impact is the old Pioneer Building.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I would have to say that I have walked into someone being on the toilet — during a seller listing appointment. Accidentally of course, and she was as surprised as I was!

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

I am a magician in the kitchen! I can pretty much create something out of nothing and make it taste amazing 😉

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

I have barely begun to travel; thus far I must say Capri, Italy, and the Amalfi Coast.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Plan time efficiently and make a schedule.

I am always on Homespotter, Trello and Line.
