Rocky Flowers’ grandmother, who managed a real estate office in New Orleans, likes to say that real estate is in his blood. But it was a high school mentorship program in Seattle that really captured his interest in the profession. His mentor was a real estate agent who gave him a behind-the-scenes glimpse into his future career.
“It was fascinating to watch her negotiate with agents and provide expert service to her clients,” recalls Flowers, now a top-producing broker with Coldwell Banker Bain. He saw that same dedication in two top real estate agents he befriended at Coldwell Banker Bain, working on their team for 10 years before going solo about three years ago.
Today, Flowers assists clients ranging from first-time to luxury buyers and sellers in Seattle and South King County. After growing up in Seattle and living in Renton, South Seattle, Central Seattle, North Seattle and (currently) Capitol Hill, his knowledge of specific neighborhoods is unmatched.
Flowers enjoys working with first-time and historically disenfranchised buyers. “Through my partnership with the Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC), I have been able to help people get into homes with down payment assistance [who] otherwise would not have,” he shares. “This past year, I had a client who was struggling to even qualify for this program. I was able to use my connections to switch her to a lender with access to more funds to get [her] family into a home.”
After workshopping and tackling problems with a top-producing team for a decade, Flowers has become an expert at troubleshooting issues throughout the transaction process, ultimately leading clients to homeownership. “When you have been through difficult situations, you can apply the techniques that worked on new challenges that arise,” he explains.
