What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
TJ Cinnamon’s! Learning how to make cinnamon rolls and sticky buns at my first job ever was fun!

Where did you grow up?
Charlotte, North Carolina

Growing up, what did you want to be?
A bone doctor, because mine was so nice to me when I broke my arm in second grade.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Play scrabble, bike ride, get a massage or ride a ferry far, far away.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Warren Buffet so he could set up my financing.

What is Seattle’s best-kept secret?
It doesn’t rain nearly as much as they show in movies like “Sleepless in Seattle.” Summers are sensational here, and guess what? No mosquito bites!

What do you love most about the industry?
All the fabulous people you meet and their stories.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I am 100% authentically me. No apologies.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Delivering tough news to clients.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Meet new people everyday … put yourself out there.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Moving across country as an empty nester and starting a brand new career in real estate.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
“Wednesday” on Netflix. Mel Robbins and her book “Let Them.”

What’s your favorite meal in Seattle?
Salmon for sure! Ristorante Paradiso in Kirkland has the very best salmon entree.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Seattle?
Space Needle. Reminds me of my favorite show as a kid, “The Jetsons.” Plus, it is iconic.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Touring a home way back in the sticks and discovering the owner had chained his pets in each room on a dog bed.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I only started my career in real estate less than two years ago.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Maui, Hawaii. Can’t beat it … Weather, vibe, ocean.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Jump in as soon as you can. Do not fear making a mistake … you will, and you’ll learn from it.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
Bubbly, fun, creative people. My daughter, who attends University of Washington.
