Seattle is the No. 3 alternative relocation destination in the U.S., according to a new study by Remitly.
The remittance site analyzed Google search data, excluding capitals and the most-common destination spots, such as New York City and Los Angeles.
Seattle was the top relocation choice in 10 states: Idaho, Utah, Arizona, California, Alaska, New Hampshire, Delaware and Hawaii.
The study highlighted nearby Tacoma as a less expensive, popular option as well, citing its particular interest among residents of American Samoa.
Also not far away, the Canadian city of Vancouver was the No. 1 relocation city in the world.
Within America, though, Kansas City was the No. 1 city on the relocation study, followed by Chicago. Miami and Charlotte, N.C. were No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
The top relocation destination for people already in Washington is San Diego.
