New American Funding announced that Peter Ryu will join its upcoming Bellevue branch as branch manager. The office is set to open in 2024.

A 20-year veteran of the lending industry, Ryu got his start as a loan officer after earning his degree in economics from the University of Washington. He formerly worked as a branch manager and vice president of mortgage lending at Guaranteed Rate.

“I am delighted to be a part of New American Funding, a company that is at the forefront of the mortgage lending industry,” Ryu said in a press release. “I look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to assist clients in fulfilling their homeownership aspirations.”

Ryu was the winner of the Seattle Agents’ Choice award for Loan Officer of the Year in 2023.
