What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I was a firefighter for 11 years.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
Growing up I always wanted to play in the NHL.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I love to fish and spend time with my family. They are great at distracting me from the stress.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
John Moreland — I think he is a remarkable musician and has lived a very interesting life.
What is Seattle’s best-kept secret?
Kurt Cobain’s former home — fans of Nirvana might appreciate visiting the home where Kurt Cobain lived and wrote some of the band’s iconic songs. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is a quiet tribute to the music legend.
What do you love most about the industry?
The “wow” factor — successfully helping clients find their dream homes or achieve successful sales can provide a sense of accomplishment and pride that comes from making people’s dreams come true.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
Exceptional customer service and transparent communication. Go above and beyond to provide exceptional service to your clients. Be responsive, attentive to their needs, and always put their best interests first. Keep them informed throughout the process and explain complex matters in a way they can understand. Building strong, trusting relationships is key.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Market fluctuations. Real estate markets can be highly dynamic, with frequent fluctuations in supply and demand. Adapting to these changes and helping clients understand and navigate them can be challenging.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Work lots of open houses and find ways to connect with potential clients during those moments.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is becoming a father, but when it comes to real estate it has been helping people who never thought they could break into the real estate market find the home of their dreams.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I have been watching “Blacklist” when my son is done with “Paw Patrol.” Love listening to David Gray.
What’s your favorite meal in Seattle?
The Pink Door, located in Pike Place Market, offers a blend of Italian-American cuisine and entertaining cabaret performances. The restaurant’s rooftop patio provides stunning views of Elliott Bay.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I had a client request chickens to be included in their home sale.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I played college hockey for many years.

Italy — the wine and the views!
