Peter Ryu’s father taught him to never settle — and this has been Ryu’s mentality since he became a loan officer 21 years ago. After receiving his degree in economics from the University of Washington, he directly entered the mortgage industry and worked in the field ever since.

Now a branch manager and mortgage advisor with New American Funding, Ryu is focused on growing the company’s Bellevue branch. “I look at the big picture and offer solutions that my competition wouldn’t even think about,” Ryu says.

Outside of work, Ryu enjoys spending time with his two sons and coaching them in basketball.

This is his second year in a row winning the Seattle Agents’ Choice Award for Loan Officer of the Year.
