At 24 years old, real estate broker Mariah Van Halm is making waves in the competitive Greater Seattle market as part of Windermere’s Kritsonis Lindor Dalrymple Real Estate Group. What sets Van Halm apart isn’t just her résumé. It’s also her energy and perspective on the industry.
“Real estate isn’t just about houses,” she says. “It’s also about people, connections and making dreams a reality.” Her family’s adventure in building a home on Lake Sammamish to bring their own dreams to fruition helped her develop this perspective and ignited her fascination with real estate. “Living through that process was like a master class in waterfront properties, construction and the lakeside lifestyle,” she recalls.
Growing up on the Eastside, Van Halm developed an insider’s knowledge of the local market. Never one to waste time, she earned her broker’s license while attending the University of Washington. With a finance major, real estate minor and KLD internship, she hit the ground running after graduation. Today, she works with everyone from first-time buyers to luxury estate seekers. “It’s incredibly rewarding helping my peers through their real estate journey, from starter homes to dream waterfront properties,” she says.
The team environment at KLD is a perfect fit with Van Halm’s collaborative spirit. “When clients work with me, they’re getting an entire team,” she explains. “Imagine eight driven individuals, including our amazing support staff, all brainstorming to help clients succeed. It’s wildly productive and the results speak for themselves.”
Her energy and passion for helping others don’t stop when Van Halm leaves the office. Deeply involved in her community, she can often be found on the soccer field or coaching youth basketball in the same league where she once played. She also co-founded MS, I’mpossible, a nonprofit that supports young adults with multiple sclerosis.
