Windermere Real Estate and the Windermere Foundation ranked No. 16 among philanthropic groups in the area, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Windermere was the only real estate company on the list, which ranked the top 30 corporate philanthropists in the Puget Sound region and included giants like Microsoft, Amazon and Costco.
In 2024,the Windermere Foundation donated over $3.5 million, bringing its total contributions to over $56 million over the past 35 years. Local charities in Windermere’s sphere include Seattle Children’s Hospital, Children’s Justice Center, YMCA, Treehouse, University Food Bank and LifeSpring.
“Giving back is at the core of our company culture, and we’re very proud of the difference we’re able to make thanks to our incredibly generous agents, franchise owners and staff,” Windermere Senior Vice President of Communications Shelley Rossi said in an email. “We’re not aware of any real estate companies anywhere in the country that raise more than we do for charity, let alone in the Seattle area. That’s not why we do it, but we’re proud to lead by example.”
