Seattle is one of the most affordable cities in the country for people who work from home, according to a report from CoworkingCafe.
Despite Seattle’s high cost of living, remote workers make a median salary of over $73,000 per year. Meanwhile, 36% of the city’s workforce is remote, indicating a strong remote work culture, while the unemployment rate is only 3.3%
Seattle also has the highest public WiFi density in the country and ranked 11th for average internet speed, making it ideal for remote workers who need to do their jobs on the go.
Additionally, Bellevue ranked at No. 5 on the list — 39% of the city’s workforce works remotely and the median income was the second-highest of any city on the list at over $92,000 per year. Bellevue also has above-average broadband coverage, and like Seattle, is in close proximity to a number of major airports.
