Seattle is among the top cities to eat local food, according to a recent study from LawnStarter.
The website ranked local food and produce options in the 200 largest U.S. cities based on three criteria: access (measured by the number of community-supported agriculture areas, dairy farms, farm stands, U-Pick Farms, on-farm markets, seafood markets, butcher shops, bakeries, craft breweries and wineries), convenience (based on urban gardening-friendliness and the number of local farms offering pickup or delivery) and support (measured by the number of local food chapters and agricultural workers).
Seattle came in at No. 6 overall, largely in part to the high number of U-Pick Farms available in the area.
