In today’s red-hot residential real estate market, anything is possible — and Bellevue, Washington, is no exception.
With expansive balconies, meticulous detail and spectacular views from every window, a luxury condominium unit located east of Seattle just sold — sight unseen — for $8 million, or $2,937 per square foot. It’s a part of the highly anticipated Avenue Bellevue complex.
The transaction set an all-time record for the Pacific Northwest, according to reporting from seattlepi.com. The sale also reflects one of the most expensive condo sales in the city’s history.
With 2,725 square feet, the 25th-floor penthouse, one of Avenue Bellevue’s 141 Estate Homes, is not even built yet.
“Over the last year, we have persevered and continued construction on Avenue, even as other residential projects in Bellevue have stalled or been converted to commercial space,” said Andy Lakha, principal and CEO of Avenue Bellevue.
“As a Bellevue resident for more than 20 years, this project is very personal to me, and I am delighted that buyers and the community are responding so positively,” he added.
That’s putting it mildly. With construction slated for completion by 2023, Avenue Bellevue is more than 40% pre-sold. Building began in 2019. When it’s all said and done, Avenue Bellevue will feature two towers with 365 luxury units, in addition to hosting the InterContinental Hotel. For now, digitally rendered photos project the finished look of the towers.
“With Avenue I want to create something that’s artistic and beautiful and thought-provoking. Something worthy of this great city that I call home,” noted Lakha on the company website.
